With immense honour and  delight, I extend a warm welcome to all athletes, officials, and sports enthusiasts to the picturesque land of Uttarakhand as we host the prestigious National Games 2025. This marks a historic moment for our state, as we embarke on the spirit of sportsmanship and celebrate the unifying power of games on the grandest stage.

From January 28 to February 14, Uttarakhand will be the epicenter of excellence, determination, and teamwork as athletes from across India converge to demonstrate their talents in an Olympic-style multi-sport extravaganza. For all of us, it is an opportunity to display the beauty, hospitality, and resilience of our people and our land.

As we set the stage to greet the nation to our home, I request every resident of Uttarakhand to come together and play their part in making the National Games 2025 Sucessful .

Let us  put forth the best of our culture, hospitality, and teamwork.

A Journey Back to Kumauni Roots | Kumauni Food And Culture

After years away from my homeland, I finally returned to the land that raised me - my Uttarakhand, my Kumaun. When I came back to Kumaun, I saw much has changed over time. The way people live, dress, work - even their daily routines everything seemed to have shifted with time. But in the midst of all this transformation, one thing stood still- Kumauni cuisine, preserving the essence of who we are. That realization hit me deep. Despite modern influences and the ever-evolving lifestyle, our traditional food still flourish. It stuck me that Kumauni dishes aren’t just food, they’re memories, emotions, and stories passed down through generations. I’ve spoken with many local people, from elders to youngsters, and every conversation had one thing in common: pride.
